Visitare un’antica residenza privata sul Canal Grande a Venezia è un’esperienza unica.

Il Piano Nobile dei Conti Benzon, l’illustre famiglia veneziana di ambasciatori, mercanti e uomini d’arme nel XVI secolo, è riccamente decorato con sontuosi affreschi della Scuola del Tiepolo (oggi Patrimonio dell’Unesco), dipinti e stucchi veneziani.
Il salone centrale, che si estende su tutto il piano nobile, dalla terrazza sul prezioso giardino interno fino al grande balcone sul Canal Grande, è il primo esempio di Stencil di Fortuny, e riprende i motivi dei celeberrimi tessuti.
La visita guidata vi condurrà in un incantevole percorso attraverso le sale che ospitarono i vivaci salotti culturali e le famose feste ospitate dalla nobildonna Marina Querini Benzon, sposa del Conte Pietro Giovannni Benzon.
Il fascino esuberante della Contessa rese il Palazzo uno dei luoghi amati e frequentati da moltissimi ospiti illustri tra cui Lord Byron, Stendhal, Chateaubriand, Foscolo, Casanova….
Un fascino che ispirò anche la storica canzone “La biondina in gondoleta”.
La visita sarà accompagnata da un aperitivo in cui il Conte vi racconterà verità e leggende non solo di questo Palazzo, ma di quella Venezia tanto magica quanto nascosta e segreta.

Aperitif with the Count
Visiting an ancient private residence on the Grand Canal in Venice is a unique experience, but to drink an aperitif with the Count while chatting of the history of the Venetian aristocracy is a true unforgettable emotion.
The Piano Nobile of the Counts Benzon, an illustrious Venetian family of ambassadors, merchants and men of arms in the 16th Century, is richly decorated with sumptuous frescoes of the Scuola del Tiepolo (now a Unesco World Heritage Site), Venetian paintings and stuccos.
The central hall, which extends over the entire piano nobile, from the terrace onto the precious indoor garden and up to the large balcony on the Grand Canal, is the first example of Fortuny’s Stencils and recalls the motifs of the famous fabrics.
The guided tour will take you on an enchanting route through the rooms which housed the lively cultural salons and the famous parties hosted by the noblewoman Marina Querini Benzon, wife of Count Pietro Giovannni Benzon. The exuberant charm of the Countess made this palace one of the most loved and popular among its many famous guests including Lord Byron, Stendhal, Chateaubriand, Foscolo, Casanova…
A charm which would also inspire the historical song “La biondina in gondoleta”.
